Texas providers met at the offices of Senators John Cornyn and Ted Cruz in Houston on Thursday. The providers in attendance had the opportunity to meet and discuss the issues of competitive bidding and the reimbursement cuts to rural America. This provided for a unique opportunity to discuss both urban and rural challenges that stem from competitive bidding as many provider in attendance have a wide variety of patients that they serve.
The group complimented Senator Cruz’s staff for how attentive they were to the issues and making recommendations of people to reach out to, which ended up being a 1.5 hour long meeting! We have had strong interest in having an additional meeting in Dallas in the future, so stay tuned for any information that comes out. These meetings play a big role in conveying our message at the district and federal level and thank you to all of those in attendance!
