Providers and industry leaders gathered in Sioux Falls, SD on Thursday to meet with Senator John Thune (R-S.D.) and show their support for his efforts to ensure that providers in rural America remain strong through. VGM’s John Gallagher made the trip to Sioux Falls along with over a half dozen providers from around the Upper Midwest. “This was a great event for providers having the opportunity to discuss the rural impacts on their business since the July cuts with one of the key senators carrying the torch in Congress for rural providers,” said John Gallagher.
The Senator remains committed on working together with the House to find a way forward in September to get relief to rural America and implement reforms to the competitive bidding program.
Rose Schafhauser, Executive Director of MAMES also made the trip to Sioux Falls and was extremely happy with the event and reinforced Senator Thune’s commitment to getting a bill to the President’s desk in September.
