Yesterday CMS announced the new single-payment amounts and began sending contract offers to successful bidders for Medicare’s Round 2 Recompete. The new payment amounts go into effect on July 1, 2016.
Single-payment amounts for the Round 2 Recompete and national diabetic testing supplies recompete as well as a summary of contracts offered in each CBA can be found here. Additional information about the recompetes is also available in CMS’ new fact sheet.
In order to respond to contract offers and receive correspondence, authorized officials and backup authorized officials must log into CMS’ online Connexion portal. Contract offers and other correspondence will only be communicated through Connexion and will not be mailed.
Please keep in mind, these rates will be factored into the rural and regional reimbursement reductions that DME providers will take July 1, 2016. We will continue to analyze these numbers. Stay tuned to future legislative updates for more information about the single-payment amounts.
