CRT delay signed into law

President Obama officially signed the Medicare Protection Act (S. 2425) into law on Monday. The bill was able to pass through Congress using a challenging legislative avenue called the “hotline” process in the Senate and was the final order of business of 2015 in the House. This bill was a much needed win for the CRT industry as it delayed the application of Medicare competitive bid reimbursement rates to CRT accessories.

This allows time for the long-term fix that will permanently keep CRT accessories out of competitive bidding. We continue to see a growing number of supporters of both H.R. 3229 and S. 2196 moving forward to 2016.
